Description: Originating in 1755, Marie Brizard Anisette became so successful that it was introduced to the court of Versailles in 1760 and begun to be exported from France in 1762. Marie was one of 15 children and worked to help the poor, one of whom gave her the recipe for this anisette. This enamel on tin sign is rounded on top and not on the bottom. Blue, yellow and white.
