At Café Society we feature three kinds of authentic vintage bars: marble baker & butchers counters were constructed of wood and embellished with slabs of marble architecturally layered, apartment bars and the original Café bar of wood with a zinc top - as well as all the accoutrements.
"Apartment bars" had starring roles in the elegant apartments of Paris during the 1930's. They are made of figured woods with multiple compartments and fittings that allow alcohol bottles and all the accoutrements to be beautifully stored in a small space.
Marble counters used in patisseries and boulangeries were constructed of wood and embellished with slabs of architecturally layered marble. From the cafés of France we source authentic wood bars and zinc counters that were used in the cafés and bistros of Paris from 1900-1930. They can be retrofitted for the residential kitchen as well as the café or restaurant bar.
